About me
I completed my bachelor’s degree with honors from SUNY Buffalo, where I discovered my passion for psychology and decided to pursue the art and science of applied clinical work. I earned my master’s and doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Denver, where I gained experience in community mental health, university counseling, employee assistance and medical settings. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Girard Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, and my post-doctoral training as an affiliate of the Boulder Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, with private practice locations in Boulder and Frisco, CO.
My education and training has emphasized empirically-supported treatment models for depression, anxiety, sleep problems, chronic pain, and relationship issues. This includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioral Activation (BA), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT). I approach my clinical work with theoretical roots in acceptance and mindfulness-based behavioral practices. Most importantly, I am devoted to developing compassionate, collaborative therapeutic relationships to help people live with less suffering and lead more meaningful, rich, and satisfying lives. I currently maintain a practice in Littleton, CO, providing individual therapy and couples therapy for people in and around the South Denver area.
